Multiskills IT had a lead list of over 6,000 contacts across multiple industries. Working that list manually would burn weeks of sales time, most of it spent on dead numbers and uninterested contacts. The team needed a first-pass filter that could reach the whole list and come back with the small slice actually worth a human follow-up.
the approach
Built on Retell AI for the voice layer, orchestrated through n8n to handle the list, call dispatch, and result capture. The agent cleaned and contacted each entry in the list, qualified on interest in the services, and routed warm leads back to the sales team with context. Designed the agent's conversation scope tight: quick identification, quick interest check, clean handoff. Not a closer, a filter.
the outcome
Worked through the full 6,000-contact list without tying up human reps. Surfaced the qualified slice ready for human follow-up, and removed dead entries from the list in the process.
the lessons
Outbound voice agents work best when you resist the urge to have them do too much. A filter agent that does one job well beats a full-stack sales agent that half-closes on calls nobody wanted.
